I just saw a helicopter

Landed on the school playing field! An air ambulance.

 

Felt a bit sorry for the kid -

 

- but, a helicopter! w00t.

Yeah,

 

the PE dept broke a couple of kids last term, neither of them required anything more than an ice pack and some rest in the end, but Our Illustrious Leader went spare that were 2 ambulances, a fast response bike and a community first responder parked up!

We get it a surprising amount - our rugby team really do go all out, they're excellent but as a result there's a slightly higher chance of injuries.

Regular occurrence for us not air ambulance but private helicopter for local care home owner.

I've got the job of supervising the landing pad (playground) making sure it's kept clear. I then get to chat with the pilot whilst the paramedics are dealing with the injury. The pilot likes coming to us because he can land on the tarmac and not get his shoes dirty.

We had one landing last term, the full call out! Great view from the office!
