BatchFile Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I've just bought 30 pairs of headphones (nothing fancy, 'bout a fiver or so each) for a class set that's used either in the IT room or bookable for use by departments with their laptops and netbooks. Anyone got any bright ideas on how to store them? Putting them in a crate all the cables get tangled and they get damaged as a result sliding them on a brush handle type affair may be better but less portable:music: .....? Incidentally my first preference was to get a truck load of 80p earphones to sell to the pupils for £1, and have a set of earphones added to the required list of equipment alongside ruler, pen, pencil etc. but it didn't get past SLT . This time. I may take it back to them later!
Ex-MGSTech Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 HD Ziplock bag here, then plastic storage bin with 16 in each. Got these almost indestructible ones from Hills:- Hills Components UK Steve 1
hardtailstar Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Zip lock bag for each set? Ben This, then get a tough plastic box to store them in. We do this and it seems to work. 1

Shows as out of stock at the moment with no price displayed but curious about the price difference in buying 'indestructible' ones compared to flimsy, easily destructible ones.
Ex-MGSTech Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) I bought 96 @ £3.95 each inc bags Call them as they sometimes list them with and without bags etc They gave me a free pair at BETT to take away to try... Sound quality is pretty good, cables are cord wound and have additional strain relief anchors where they enter the headset, left earpiece has volume control and mike Edited October 11, 2013 by Ex-MGSTech
Novalee Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I bought 96 @ £3.95 each inc bags Wow that really is good! What a bargain! Will create an account and ask when they will have more. Do you have a contact there?
Ex-MGSTech Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Not as such, just give them a call I guess....like I said, sometimes they have them listed under a different part number. We also sell these to students at cost ex VAT via our Bursary
Novalee Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Ah, just spotted they aren't expecting more until the end of November -that's a shame - but will keep them in mind for next time. Have created an account so when that goes through will call and see if they have anything similar as these seem fab. I like the idea of selling them on to students as well, if they look 'cool' enough they could help the students as headphones aren't really very cheap in shops.
