linkazoid Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Since having this server I have been unable to get PDFCreator 1.7.1 to work as a network pdf printer. The save prompt is showing on the server rather than on the client. Does anyone have an alternative solution that works with Server 2012. Foxit is installed on all the clients however the Foxit Printer was not installed as part of the install. Thanks, Michael
mavhc Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Using PDFCreator | pdfforge.org has suggestions, I've never tried running a pdf printer driver on a server, just deployed to all clients
linkazoid Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 I have tried this and cant get it to work. It worked fine on our old 2003 box.
timbo343 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Have you tired CutePDF and the ghostwriter? Not tested it on 2012 but its been faultless with everything else.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Foxit Reader PDF Creator. is pretty good
sultan966 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 In Microsoft word you can save any document as pdf. If you click File -->Save As --> Choose File Type pdf. You can save the word file as pdf.
dhicks Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Does anyone have an alternative solution that works with Server 2012. You could try Ghostscript. I seem to remember the advice being to set it up using a generic postscript printer driver that is installed by default on Windows machines, then there's no print driver of any sort to install on workstations.
