SCCM Client Loosing MAC Address

Hi,

 

I am importing some machines for image. This is the process i use.

 

1. Add the computer into AD in the correct OU. Then ad to the group of what OS it will have.

2. Add the machine into SCCM with MAC address via powershell.

3. After 5 mins it will add to the collection based on the group in step 1. The OSD TS is set to this collection.

 

When it gets to step 3 the device looses it MAC address. When it is first imported the device does have a MAC.

 

Why is this please?

Right looked at this again. When i enter the machines there are 2 devices with the same name. 1 has a MAC address the other does not.

 

Why would this happen please?

On the surface it sounds like the old Duplicate Computers from 2007

Sounds like not all the data is being imported

 

The Machine with the MAC, does it have all the SCCM data (SMSGUID, etc)

It doesn't its a brand new import. You only import with a Mac address or bios GUID and machine name.

 

We didn't have 2007.
