LeightonJames Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 This is pretty funny, Apple claim to have provided a high level of security yet: Germany's Chaos Computer Club claims it "successfully bypassed the biometric security of Apple's Touch ID using easy everyday means". iPhone Security hacked This is as bad as the initial release of Android's face unlock technology which could be fooled by a photograph.
Pottsey Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I often wondered about the logic of having a device made of glass and plastic that fingerprints tend to stick to. Then design the device so it’s designed to be touch based via the finger leaving marks all over. It was only a matter of time before someone lifts the fingerprint to access the device with the fingerprint scanner.
