timlineuk Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Hey, Does anyone know of a way of setting sorting emails into folders based on security group using outlook rules (or by some other means). Basically i want all emails from technology staff to go into a technology folder, maths to maths, etc... Cheers
MatthewL Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Are you using exchange? If so do you have distributions with said people in? If so use these. If not not possible as far as I am aware unless you create a rule and manually type in email addresses.
sukh Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 no you can't out of the box. Either create rules for them on servers using new-inbox rule for all mailboxes, prefix subject using transport rule using DL. bit confusing but best option is let users manage tbeir own mailbox.
timlineuk Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 This is for me - I want to sort requests made by each department into different folders
timlineuk Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 Which is exactly what I'm trying to do but i cant work out how/know if it's possible, hence this thread. OK to elaborate as people don't appear to understand; I want messages sent to me from other users to be placed into a folder titled with their department... i.e. when Sent to 'me' and sender is in 'specified security group' > move to folder x
