Ban Users From Internet Access

Hey Guys

 

So we have two computers in our so called "library" and I need them to be able to connect to our network but with no Internet Access. I have tried adding the computer into Banned Users on Smoothwall but this hasn't seemed to do anything!? All kids log on to that machine as a generic account called idesk hence the reason I don't want that account to be able to be used on any other machine and have no access to the internet. I'm new to Smoothwall so be gentle

Hi Mate thanks for the feedback though I don't have "Services" or "Temporary Bans" under guardian or anywhere else for that matter any ideas?

Hmm. What version of Smoothwall are you running? Is it a UTM or just Guardian? That might be the difference as we have the UTM.

Are you not able to create a new OU in AD called no internet and link a new Group policy with a proxy of 1.1.1.1. That way they will not be able get on the net at all but still get to local webservers?
