Hey Guys

So we have two computers in our so called "library" and I need them to be able to connect to our network but with no Internet Access. I have tried adding the computer into Banned Users on Smoothwall but this hasn't seemed to do anything!? All kids log on to that machine as a generic account called idesk hence the reason I don't want that account to be able to be used on any other machine and have no access to the internet. I'm new to Smoothwall so be gentle :)

In Smoothwall ban iDesk from accessing the internet? Guardian > Services > Temporary Bans

Hi Mate thanks for the feedback though I don't have "Services" or "Temporary Bans" under guardian or anywhere else for that matter any ideas?

Hmm. What version of Smoothwall are you running? Is it a UTM or just Guardian? That might be the difference as we have the UTM.

Are you not able to create a new OU in AD called no internet and link a new Group policy with a proxy of 1.1.1.1. That way they will not be able get on the net at all but still get to local webservers?
