Exchange 2013 Retention Tag

Hi,

 

I would like to create a retention tag that users can optionally apply to deleted items. The only ones I can see are mandatory. The optional tags in Exchange cannot be applied to the default folders.

 

Any thoughts please?

Personal tags cannot be applied to default folders. Only RPT.

 

Why would you want this?

We (currently) don't have a policy in place to force the deleting of the sent and deleted items. So for now we would like to create a policy that will allow the users who have reached the quota to apply should they wish.

Been busy with O365 stuff...not quite like on-prem Exchange.

 

So how about you create a Personal Tag and then allow users to apply that to the items. Dont apply a RPT to the deleted/sent items.....that should work, set the appropriate action.
