Janyo Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I was just wandering if there is anyone out there able to help with ipads syncing. We have purchased 8 ipads 2 to use in small groups in a classroom and would like to know what's the best way of syncing them using one itunes account on a PC (no mini macs or other apple products). We know there are different carts/trolleys made for the sync purpose but we don't want to splash ut on them as we only use 8 ipads.
caffrey Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Not sure about the syncing on PC but we just use big USB hubs and 6 way power adapters, our iPad technician uses a mix of profile manager and meraki.
TechieWils Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Only thing I could recommend without using any Apple products is Meraki (plus its free)
Sir Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 We use configurator for school profile when new and then manage apps with meraki over wireless. After changes are made to app, it just installs to all those with meraki profile installed- JOB DONE- luvely!

Cush2790 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I've just configured 5 iPads for our school using the Apple Configuration Utility, Meraki didn't like going through out Smoothwall however other than GPS location they both do the same thing. Ours are configured to sync to a backup of a 'Master iPad' we created so they are ready to go straight back out even if little Jimmy has fiddled with the Wi-Fi settings, it auto-names them too!
