loci Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hello everyone, I am trying to get some shortcuts to open in Google Chrome browser, rather than the default system browser which is IE. We need to keep IE as the default browser. The properties dialogue for adding shortcuts doesn't seem to have an 'open using app...' input anywhere so I'm stumped. Any advice would be gratefully received, thanks in advance
jcs808 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Make a new shortcut, here is one that launches bbc.co.uk in chrome "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" http://www.bbc.co.uk Edited September 5, 2013 by jcs808 2

Alis_Klar Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 This approach has issues if you run a mixed 32 /64 bit environment. Also annoyingly Chrome App links (created with more tools > create shortcut) are not portable between computers
