Rawns Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I'm trying to upgrade our SOLUS3 database but it's erroring out with a rather large, nasty looking error. The error pops up and closes so quickly, my print screen skills are failing me. Can someone recommend a free piece of software that I can use to capture the error?
Rawns Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 Im sure this technical marvel of software programming writes it to the error log. You would think so wouldn't you! 1) This is SOLUS3 we're talking about. 2) It's a Capita product.
mac_shinobi Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Problem Steps Recorder ( would that not be fast enough to take a screen grab of the error message ) ?? psr.exe At least I think thats what you launch Using the As per the above link - PSR needs to be running as an administrator in order to take screen grabs ( so right click and run as admin or hold down shift and then right click on the exe / app and run as different user and use your domain admin or local admin account to launch said exe / app with admin elevated rights ) If not then just wondering is there any switches that you can use with the Solus exe that will make it launch in error logging mode or something along those lines so that it will output any errors to a text or log file of some description If not then are there any error log files for Solus in the C:\Windows\Temp or any temp directories That or what about event viewer ( control panel --> administrative tools --> event viewer ) Edited September 5, 2013 by mac_shinobi
