[free] [FREE] Cisco 4506 X 2

Two Cisco 4506's are up for grabs. They are populated with multiple fibre modules and 1Gb ethernet. Priority goes to any school that can put them to use but you will need to pick them up and they are heavy! Collection would be from Milton Keynes.

Do these run IOS? How many Ethernet ports does it have?

As far as I know, they just run the standard Cisco stuff. Pic is attached.

Some of the older ones run CATos and the newer ones running IOS.

 

I know someone who is looking to upgrade. But there are not enough Ethernet ports for them

Could you tell me what supervisors are in them, I may well be able to put them to good use.

I'm afraid I can't without firing them up and interrogating them. They were last used two years ago and the config has passed from my NM's memory (and never was in mine).

If you arrange a courier to pick it up we could do that. Do you want both units?

Yeah both would be super for our application.

 

If it could be a half pallet 100x120x90cm and max 600kg (not going to get anywhere near that weight!) that would be gr8. and I can get it collected.

 

 

(it's just a standard pallet btw, just half height so 90cm not 180.. Not an issue i expect

forgot to say they arrived safe and sound on thursday.

 

Not got them fired up yet, I was expecting to need C19 plugs for the PSU's but as they are 1000w they use 13A inlets, but for some reason cisco decided to use C15 Hot plugs rather than C13's I could not find a single Hot IEC lead so have orderd up some remakeable ends on ebay.
