Well I'd just have to take a selection :p

I'm up to 440GB of Apple Lossless files at the moment. 32 cds perhaps on the 16GB

1.5tb of lossless flacs hear :) all verified bit for bit images.

Give it a few years and people will be all about lossless and 320gb ipods!

Wifi is nice on this device, but what's its uses?

whats the point of it??

Typical apple, style over substance!

It's alright to question the validity of it...but i'll think you'll eat your words once you've actually had the opportunity to try one. Manufacturers are tryin g desperately hard to create the ultimate portable internet browsing device - that can also do the old trick of playing mp3's and other media files .

In terms of ergonmics, screen size, and browser the itouch is probably the best out there - the onscreen keyboard may need more refinement - and lack if HSDPA in the itouch is a missed opportunity, but other than that it looks like a fantastic little device.

I like the look of the touch but I still would not buy an apple ipod and I have a macbook !!. I got a Cowon D2 a few months ago. This is also touch screen (before the ipod) which is a 2.5" QVGA 16million colours screen, it has 4Gb onboard with expansion through a standard SD card slot and approx 52hours of audio playback time!!. It also has an FM radio built in and hopefully someone will complete a port of rockbox for it soon. It cost me about £139 but should be a little cheaper by now.
