EES - New computers

With an EES agreement, what is the minimum O/S I can get away with buying on new computers, given we'll be doing a complete new install on them?

Windows 8 or Windows 7 Starter Edition. The latter is unlikely to be installed on new PCs however.

Windows 7 Home Basic/Premium will probably be the lowest you can get a supplier to provide.

I would get PCs that come with Windows 8 Pro (and are downgradable to Windows 7) because at least they will have the relevant license details embedded into the BIOS for both OSs.
