Spiceworks - User portal and SSO

Hi

 

I am wanting to start getting staff to use the portals in spiceworks. At the moment when they go to it, it asks them to login with their network details which they do and then they have to enter them again with their email address.

 

Is there a way to stop this?

 

So in school they just go to the page and they are logged in automatically? and at home just enter their username and password once?

 

I have it linked to AD.

Hello tj,

 

What version of Spiceworks are you using? I know the latest version automatically setups SSO and works quiet well to get rid of the email box simply put there email address in the email field on AD.

Thanks for that. I am currently playing around with the version 7 RC. Am i able to import the emails into spiceworks instead of AD do you know?

Two other points now.

 

1. What's the best way to bulk update AD users to add their email and dept information etc?

2. When the user logs in with e email in AD it logs them in but asks for them to update their profile. Any way to stop this?

Lots of threads on here - search "Wisesoft AD" and you'll get lots of useful info on how to do it. Link to the external site you'll want is Wisesoft software

 

Not sure about the other point.
