Trigah Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Hi I am having problems setting up Xibo digital Signage system. I can get the background running on the client, however when I add a region and then imput media within the region, this will not display. I have scheduled it to be live, and still having problems! Please can somebody walk me through this as the Wiki guides are proving useless. Thanks!
penfold Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 What type of media are you trying to display in the region? You need to make sure you have all the codecs etc installed if you are running anything with video etc. Can you get it to display and picture/text? If you are still having problems delete the local content from the client as it will force it to re-download from the server again just in case the local copy has gone a bit funny.
Trigah Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 I am trying to upload a JPEG into the region, when the client loads, it brings up the image i selected to use in the client options, but after that it doesn't display any. After deleting the local content and re-uploading this has still not resolved the issue.
penfold Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I'm not sure I'm understanding what you are saying sorry. Are you saying that you have created a region with a number of images in and the client is only displaying the first one. Or are you saying the client is only displaying the background and not the region content? If it only displaying 1 image of X number then check that you have set the duration of the image correctly (for testing you can reduce this down to a couple of seconds) and then it should bring the second image up and so on. In the past to ensure that the images display correctly I have resized them to match the region size before uploading them.
