Is there any way I can tell SIMS on a client to check for update? I have updated SIMS server using SOLUS but some clients don't seem to be updating and when signing in it complains about database mismatch.

Runs simsload.exe in the SIMS .Net directory on the client?

Disclaimer: I'm assuming you can still manually kick off an upgrade from there if using solus 3.

If on SOLUS 2 check the SIMs.ini file in c:\windows contains the line

SIMSSetupsDirectory=

else you'll get the problem every time you update.

SOLUS2.

Is that file on the server, or the client?

Client

Just copy one over from a working machine

Then run simsload or the default shortcut it creates which should be labelled sims .net. If it just says sims it won't upgrade
