Active User Manager - use variable %username% not working

Recommended Posts

Posted

I am trying to use Active User Manager to create bulk AD accounts and folders.

I'd like to set the my documents folder to be something like \\server\share\%username%\docs

This way I could prevent the desktop.ini issue causing multiple "My Documents" folders.

However, in AUM, %username% doesn't seem to get parsed. It makes a folder called "%username".

Anyone found a work around? Enough people use this program, so I hope so! Thank you.

I use AUM to create bulk AD users, to set home home directories for multiple users just go back to Active directory and use that for this task.

You can however use AUM to set multiple group memberships.
