william_tropico Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Hello, Updating computers to Windows 8 and everything has been going fine. However all of a sudden the gpo Computer Configuration>Policies>Administrative Templates>Control Panel>Personalization>Force a specific default lock screen image no longer works on new imaged computers. They are running Windows 8 Pro and are part of the domain. Any ideas? Dont want the Seattle image to be there in September Thank you.
MrEprise Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I've found for all the W8 images i've rolled out so far, the November 2012 Update Rollup is required before that GPO is able to change the lock screen.
william_tropico Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Yeah, Update KB2770917 is installed else the gpo option will not be available. It's installed and configured but for some reason it no longer works :S
william_tropico Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 FIXED I feel a bit silly but our KMS server was off so new computers weren't activating after sysprep and as you cant customise the lock screen until windows 8 is activated. Powered on the KMS server. Ran slmgr.vbs /ato and now nice banded lock screen
