ravi436 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 i have a network A with ip address 172.16.X.X for a system with servers having a static default gateway ip and dhcp enabled.its connected through a cyberoam firewall into the L3 switch and then the servers. now I want to set up an alternate link or connection to the system so that network failure from a ISP takes me to support through the other link or network B.it seems there are procedures in the cyberoam through which an alternate gateway can be set up as backup link but how do I give an alternate gateway for the servers?...or is there any other way to configure the redundant link through L3 switch ????
dwhyte85 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I don't know cyberoam, on most firewalls i've seen it's possible to add a second route with a higher cost (e.g, your other line) - or you could publish the route on dhcp.
