ChrisERoots Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 This might seem a bonkers idea but I would like to give Staff access to be able to amend Print Credits for students. It will save a lot of Admin time for myself through a day especially when Course work deadlines are due. I'm just after some basic knowledge on how its done and what needs to be installed where in order for Staff to be able to do it?
strawberry Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 There's a program called padmin in a share on the server. They will need access to that then I think its a case of ntfs on the db. There should be a pdf on the share explaining it all.
twin--turbo Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 This might seem a bonkers idea I think you should work as an annunciator for Swiss wall clocks. In our system, teachers have to get SLT to raise a help desk ticket for student and their own credit. It vastly reduced credit requests and the amount being printed. R
RichB Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 In the C drive there is an padmin.exe file if they run this they get access. Not been able to restrict users yet however. We give staff credits each monday, if they dont use them they roll over hence it is up to them to prepare yes "prepare" for high volume printing times of the year. If they "need" more credits it has to goes through their SLT link this reduced our printing by over 10k. However if you dont have SLT backing this solution will save you alot of time.
