mobybrick Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Hi Nick, Thanks - as always - for your work in HAP+. Two bugs in 9.4 observed in fresh install: 1. For the domain administrator user, a 'Null' appears in the "Me" tile in the main screen. It seems if a user has a samaccountname but no friendly name, a null is shown. 2. If an administrator creates a new link name for the homepage, using the interface (or by editing hapconfig.xml directly) - i.e 'Test' - the four link labels are displayed (e.g. Resources, Management, Me, Test) but all of the icons/buttons for all four of the links are displayed at logon under 'Resources' and the other links don't do anything. Right now, when I logon, 'Me' tile, 'Helpdesk', 'HAP+ Config' are all displayed under Resources. This happens as soon as I create a new link on the home page, using the admin interface. Hope you can help! Yours Moby Edited July 29, 2013 by mobybrick
nickbro Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 For no. 2, please do some http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/86059-hap-json-debugging.html, it might be because you have no links under the Test tab
mobybrick Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 Hi, No, putting in any links/tiles under 'Test' makes no difference. Surely this is broken for everyone on 9.4? Thanks, Moby
mobybrick Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Hokey dokey. Are there any temp folders or cache files that I can easily empty on the server (in addition to blasting the hapconfig.xml file), or is it best to just delete the whole hap tree and start again? Thanks Edited July 29, 2013 by mobybrick
nickbro Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Overwrite your HAP+ install with the v9.4 upgrade release, looks like something javascript related isn't working, you will need to do some http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/86059-hap-json-debugging.html for me
mobybrick Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Hi, Am already on 9.4. Just tried again, fresh install. It really is broken on 9.0 and 9.4, no joy - or I am doing something really stpudi! Firebug output is TypeError: data[0] is undefined https://xxx.xxxx.sch.uk/testhap/api/js Line 1 Moby Edited July 30, 2013 by mobybrick
mobybrick Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Hi, I've found the problem, and this seems to be a new issue with v9. If a link on a page contains brackets, e.g. a tile with the name "VLE (Usual login)" then the homepage breaks, with all of the icons showing on one page. This did not happen on v8. Please advise. Thanks Moby
mobybrick Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Also any link with the '@' symbol in it now breaks HAP, e.g. Careers Comp@nion
nickbro Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Ok, I'll have to look into this for you @mobybrick, thanks for your help so far
nickbro Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 @mobybrick, can you try the attached update (it's just a javascript update thankfully)
mobybrick Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 Thanks - that seems to have fixed it Newer file is smaller than the old one, btw.... Thanks again, Moby 1
