rickjames Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I tried signing up for Hulu through my SmartDNS but couldn't get anywhere past payment to subscribe, my friend has a workaround where he buys credit on the iTunes store and then buys a pass through there which all seemed like too much effort. 1

Thanks, I think you've just saved me from wasting my time trying to see if I can get signed up and working!

edutech4schools Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Really really wish Chromcast had proxy support.
Alis_Klar Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Perhaps we are trying to fit a round plug in a square hole! There are android based dongles or "pucks" that would be more flexible. Could use Digital signage android TV player They recommend the Minix Neo X7 for their Android software. Really want an android app that throws up playlists of PowerPoints and supports animations (oh and sets the PPT to loop automatically)
Arthur Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Guest mode can now be enabled if you have the latest version of the Chromecast app (v1.9.6). Chromecast app now has working Guest Mode so you don't have to share your Wi-Fi password « Android Police 1

Arthur Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 It looks like Google are now trying to compete with Sonos... Today we’re introducing Google Cast for audio, which uses the same technology as Chromecast to cast your favorite audio entertainment from your mobile device to your speakers. Simply tap the cast button in your favorite music app on Android, iOS or the web, and select your Google Cast Ready speaker. Google Cast Ready speakers will be available first in the US this spring from Sony, LG and HEOS by Denon with more brands coming later in 2015. These speakers will work with a growing list of apps including Deezer, Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, NPR One, Pandora, Rdio, TuneIn, and more. Go to g.co/castaudio to learn more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8q0yZomXuSw
