Showing users Windows server network home folder in Finder sidebar

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 and a OS X Mountain Server. The open directory applies preferences to the Macs, while the Active Directory provides user account details, etc for the Open Directory.

 

 

The problem I am having is getting the users Documents folder on the Mac to redirect to the users network home share on the Windows Server. Their network path is like this:

 

 

\dc01\year_joined\username

 

 

Is there anyway to run a Login hook to query the server for the path and then use a symlink to point the users ~/Documents folder to it?
