Me again - very busy time of year - Senior engineer £35-38K Field based in London

A leading schools/academies ICT and MIS support company requires their next senior technical officer to join a large field based team. The role entails: Pre-Sales engagement with a wide variety of educational clients to define solutions, technically leading on deployment, being the technical authority across the client base, providing consultancy like audits and reports, 3rd line support, assistance in scheduling and assisting to ICT services manager in delivering an excellent level of service to the client base.

You will have a guru knowledge level of networking and windows server infrastructure including 2008 R2, ideally 2012, Exchange, Clustering, Hyper-V or VMWare, SQL, Firewalls, Cisco, SAN, NAS and similar technologies

You may also have knowledge of education specific systems like RM CC4, Ranger, Mac server, Ipads, imacs, Lgfl etc

You will probably have at least CCNA and more than 1 MCP or similar qualification. Ideally some knowledge of Prince or ITIL would be useful in this role. Ongoing training will be provided in order to keep the post holder up to date in the latest educational IT systems

You will be expected to travel across London and sometimes further afield as the role dictates
