Group Policy or GPP to remove an item from office open/save navigation pane

Can anyone enlighten me as to what this is known as and how i get rid of it??

I have the same issue. I manage several thousand kiosks that will be migrating to windows 7. We allow office use, but need to restrict saving to the Flash Drives. I have this set up, but people cal also save documents to the templates directory. Then they "loose" their docuemnts because the OS is locked down. Redirecting the appdata to a server share and disallowing write causes issue with Word functioning as it cant write its normal.dot files. Is there a way to Hide the templates folder from the view posted above

Is that pane on the left called the navigation pane? I know ours is limited but its been nearly 2 years since we set ours up butbthis might help...
