RabbieBurns Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 living in the cities Ive been spoiled with hundred/gigabit internet; and everthing being cloud this, online that, Ive almost forgotten what its like to have slow internet. But Ive got a rural campus Im looking to improve the internet connection for. Currently it has an 'up to' ADSL2+ which is so far from the exchange its 1mb down and 0.1up The alternative to adsl plan im looking at is 5mb/5mb.. would be fast enough for 70 simultaneous users, just doing browsing, research, and saving the occasional file to the cloud, do you reckon.
MatthewL Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I don't see why not, wont be lightening fast but because you have the upload should help, our 2mb up and down was better than our ADSL of up to 8 and maybe 512kb up.

I would have thought that would be fine. Just make sure you can run QOS on your perimeter firewall to prioritisation any time sensitive applications. Dave
