Email Emulator Program

Does anyone know of any software that will be an outlook client emulator?

How do you mean....like thunderbird?

No thats a client. Just an emulator. That will behave asif you have a real client. You will be able to send a message, it appears in the sent items but not actually go anywhere. Its for an exam, its just to demonstrate they understand the concept of email.

How about the 2simple product, think it is called 2mail, it sends them through a shared folder, I know primary schools did use them at one point to teach email usage without the outside world being involved.

ISTR Pegasus Mail client will send locally via shared folders.

Any linux box should handle local mailflow (only within the box)

Thunderbird should then able to connect to that box and allow users to send/receive locally..

AQA do one as part of their functional skills exam it's a flash based app and does web as well.
