rhedges Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Hello, We have recently had someone bring in a projector (epson emp-x5) that has had a bulb put in it about a year ago. I have cleaned the dust out. It however, shows a flashing purple patch on the screen when it is on a light background (such as a word document). Is there anyone that could have a solution for this? Thank you.
teklogic Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 might sound simple but it could be the cable, we had a similar issue, changed to a higher grade cable and it was fine. Then saying that we have also had a projector with a yellow splash that turned out to be the unit.
ADMaster Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I'm thinking @Little-Miss had something to do with it.
rhedges Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 We have now cleaned the projector, the purple patch has gone. However, it now overheats and the lamp warning light comes on- this is a different problem. Any ideas?
