jpuk Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Good morning all. I thought I'd throw this question to the crowd as I'm certain this is an area we all suffer in. Has anyone managed to find a reliable domain registrar who'll take payment via PO? Our school does not have a credit card and our accounts department are stuck in the past, refusing to embrace modern payment methods. This leaves me stuck paying for things like SSL certs and domain renewals on my debit card and then later being reimbursed by the school. Now we're coming up for renewal again this is something I'd really rather do without. Anyone had luck here?
dhicks Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Has anyone managed to find a reliable domain registrar who'll take payment via PO? 123-Reg seem to be very good - they'll take Direct Debit, which your school might be willing to use, and that saves any forgetting to renew a domain.
Snuffkins Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I believe SSL247 will accept POs. They did when I last used them anyway.
LukeC Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Comodo do for us. I submit it all online then email them with the online ref and the PO.
jpuk Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Thanks for all the replys guys. I'll take a look at those. John
jpuk Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 I've gone with SSL247. They seem pretty responsive, I've managed to deal with an actual human who has helped me with my choice of cert and they take PO. Result. Thanks guys.
