Air compressor for cleaning computers

Spotted this on the weekend and remembered this thread, I was thinking about getting one but seems like amazon UK currently do not stock it.

 

We've bought something similar, but we just ended up buying the 110V US version. We've fitted a 110V "commando" socket, one of the bright yellow ones you get on builder's equipment, and run it from a small 110V transformer (again, one of the bright yellow ones you get on building sites).

I have a Metro Datavac Electric Duster ED-500. It's absolutely awesome. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Darn, that's the exact model I've got except mine's 110V - I couldn't find a 220V version anywhere when I was looking.

We ordered one from this site (cheaper than Amazon) and it was definitely 240v that we ordered. What they sent was 110v but they sent another when we reported it. They never asked for the 110v back. Running the 110v from 240v will blow your socks off (don't try this at home kids!).

i notcied that site a while back too selling it cheaper, what i dont get is it's the same company selling them on amazon at a mark up of about 30%

Probably a mark-up for tax avoidance reasons. ;-)
