Danp Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I am tasked with finding out our poor performers and wondered what would you class as high energy usage workstation and what a low usage would be?
Alkaline Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 It depends on how old the stuff is, quite a lot of the new machines have eco modes and such.
chazzy2501 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 yeap, my old P4's take about 60 watts when busy, 43 idle. the monitor takes 15 to 20 watts (old 15" lcd) They also consume 1~2 watts in standby.
laserblazer Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Why not get one of these Plug-In Mains Power and Energy Monitor : Power and Energy Monitors : Maplin Electronics
Danp Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 I have one of those, trying to find a benchmark of what people would class as high powered and what is acceptable. One workstation (only, not monitor) runs at about 47-52 watts and peaked at 100.
