Casio Projector Issue

Hi All,

 

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this problem.

Our recently installed Casio XJ H1700 is locking up & switching itself off fairly regularly. This can be cleared by powering off for 3 mins & then back on again, thats fine but it seems to be happening more regularly & during actual use now.

 

The manual says for the lights that show the error:

 

"The projector was turned off automatically due to some problem that was probably caused by external digital noise or some other reason"

 

anyone got a clue to what that means & if we can do anything about it before sending off to CASIO under warranty?

 

The main reason I haven't sent it off already is that its 5m off the floor in our main hall .....scaffold tower to get it down

Spikes in your electrical supply to the projector?

Yes that's a possibility THX, I might try a surge protector like this APC Essential SurgeArrest 1 outlet 230V UK (P1-UK) - www.misco.co.uk to see if it helps any before I get the scaffold out.
