Webcam for photos?

Hi,

 

I am looking for a webcam that can take good quality photos for use on staff ID bages and for student MIS photos. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what webcam would be good for this? We already use a webcam but office staff complain that the photo quality is not good. Any suggestions?

The Logitech HD ones are pretty good. We have a number of Logitech B910 webcams that are fantastic, though for the price you could buy a low-end Canon Powershot that will work better. Does it have to be a webcam and not a normal camera?

I use a canon powershot A470.

 

If you get one that takes an SD card and then put an Eye-Fi card into it then you won't even have to take it out to upload the pictures.

If it has to be a webcam you can't go wrong with the Logitech ones. If it just has to be a camera then any decent compact on a tripod should do the trick.
