Rawns Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) I'm looking to get a bluetooth headphone adaptor for music playback with my phone as the headphone jack is a bit iffy. I've seen these two devices and wondered if anyone has one, or uses something similar? HaleStorm Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 The Sony one looks cool as it has the controls and display built in, would have to take your phone out to change track all the time

Seems the Samsung one has voice control to change tracks. Would be weird walking down the street going saying "Next... next...next..." all the time!
HaleStorm Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 the only thing with the sony one is does it have to be linked to a sony "walkman phone" or is there an app you use to link it too

Some reviewers are using them with iPads, iPhones etc and they work just fine. One minor thing is that apparently the Sony device can show you "now playing" track titles on the display, but it seems to be hit and miss on some devices. Guessing that kind of functionality may be tied in specifically to Sony phones more than others.
SteveBentley Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I've got the Sony one, a little fiddly to pair with devices but that's a one off pain. Good little piece of kit otherwise. The controls work with media player software on any phone I've used it with, but I haven't seen the track titles on it (non Sony phone). Having a radio on there is handy too because the one on my phone is rubbish! 1
Trapper Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 May not be what you're looking for, but I've just bought one of these for my hall - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005NDDEVQ/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We have the mixing desk at the far end from the projector, so if you want to present and have a laptop next to you we've had to use desktop speakers for years.
