OWA 2010 Slow Externally

Hi,

 

We run Exchange 2010, and internally everything works great. Externally, everything still works quite well but people have started to mention that some features externally are taking a lot longer than when working internally. The common things popping up are adding attachments, searching mailbox, moving between folders in inbox etc. I cant say i have noticed any issues when using my phone but i can replicate it from a laptop outside of school. If i connect via the VPN, the lag is then lost??

 

We run TMG for publishing OWA and 100MB/100MB circuit. Anybody come across something similar?
