Assign to User via Cart..... Knowing Which iPad :QUESTION

Hi All,

 

I think I've sorted the profile ans supervision of 30 iPads Mini's, using a MacBook Pro and Cart, BUT!!

 

When all the devices are plugged in to the cart, how do I know which device I've assigned to a particular user?

 

Can a kind sole suggested a practical method to address this Please??

but do they not change numbering depending on how they are cabled into the cart?

No, once you have named/numbered them you can leave them the same under supervision.

 

If the actual iPads are stickered up you can plug in in order of you like!

so, would i need to plug them in one by one initial, sticker them up accordingly and they will stay the same in the supervised section of Apple Configurator?

Yes, as far as I remember! Once initial prep and supervision is done you don't have to rename.

Yeah, I was just wondering how I would see the name when they are slotted into the charging cart. so number the outside of the iPads may be the only way. Unless any one else has alternative suggestions?

If there is no user assigned, it will show the device name on the lock screen.
