Hi

I was wondering what to use to view settings applied in the group policy preferences section of group policy?

I read some stuff here rsop.msc and gpresult not including preferences

I briefly tried GPRESULT /H rsop.html but still didn't see the group policy preferences section displayed, I will try it again though.

So basically I wondered what people used to best effect ?

I liked rsop.msc :-(

Thanks

p.s elevated rights worked:

Group Policy Modelling does this now - it'll be in the Group Policy snap-in on your domain controller (at the bottom of the tree when you expand it, beneath sites). Right click and run the wizard, it's similar to RSoP but includes GPP and is the new, officially sanctioned method.

You can run it locally if you install the RSAT stuff, I believe, but otherwise you can only run it on a DC.

Ok I will look into this

I know I had issues running it with RPC server issue, firewall or something maybe. Anyway it would be easier if there was a client-side alternative

Thanks
