Hi,

I've spent 3 hours trying to install Smart Drivers on to a PC, it almost finished and gets to the end and rolls the whole thing back. It says "setup was interrrupted before Smart Board drivers could finish installing.

Tried old version 10.6 and latest Smart Educational Software 2013 and did the same each time, even with SB unplugged etc. Notebook installed fine. Ditto when logged in as local and domain admin on PC!

Enclosed is the msiexec.log

smartboard.zip

The first thing that hits me with that log is Software Restriction Policies. I've started deploying the latest Smart Notebook 11 SP1 and haven't had any issues as yet. What OS are you installing it on?

I presume you have .NET Framework 4 installed?

Here are all the requirements:

Pentium 4 processor or better

1 GB of RAM (2 GB recommended)

2 GB of free hard disk space (An additional 600 MB required for complete Gallery)

Operating systems: Windows XP SP3

Windows Vista SP2

Windows 7 SP1 (recommended)

IMPORTANT: Windows 8 is not fully supported at this time. For more information, refer to the release notes.

Microsoft .NET framework 4 Client Profile for SMART Notebook software and SMART Ink

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office for SMART Ink

Internet Explorer 6 or later Internet browser

Adobe Flash Player 11.1 or later

Microsoft DirectX technology 8.1 or later (required for SMART Video Player)

Microsoft DirectX technology 9 or later (required for 3D Tools for SMART Notebook software)

Adobe Flash Player 11.4 Firefox plug-in for SMART Notebook software and SMART Response software

Internet access to download Gallery content and language packs

I've tested on Win 7 SP1 x86 without any issues.
