jamesbmarshall Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Should Outlook be run in Cached mode with Office365? Do you HAVE to use Cached mode with Office 365 and Outlook? - Email and calendar - Office 365 - Microsoft Office 365 Community
Edu-IT Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 Thanks James. I guess, what I am trying to find out, and probably what I should have asked is, for those of you using Office365 are you doing so in cached mode?
AngryTechnician Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 My advice is to leave it in cached mode. Cached mode gets you much faster searching, and IIRC the social connector does not work at all without it. This may not be an issue for your environment; personally I find the LinkedIn connector very useful (and the Facebook connector entertaining).
Edu-IT Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 It's more for speed. I've migrated a few users over and turned of cache mode and Outlook takes a good 5 minutes to open. It's crazy and frustrating them and me!
