The main use of the laptops are Internet and word processing. We want something that can be integrated with AD. Ideas and pros and cons would be really useful Thanks in advance
mrbios Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Worth checking out the tablet/laptop hybrids recently bought out my asus and gigabyte, some of them look pretty good. Windows 8 though obviously. Not sure of any models specifically but there's quite a few of them about now, of which 3-4 versions came out in the past week.

mthomas08 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 ASUS 1025C from Stone computers, roughly £160 each with Windows 7 Starter - if you have the correct site license you can install Windows 7 Professional and it runs very nicely. If its for students the above is very nice, no problem running all student software and you could upgrade the memory if you go through Novatech. 1
