Avaya IPOffice 500v2 Config Reset

We have taken over a nearby office (downstairs) and as such have come into possession of the previous tennats equipment (they left in some hurry and not on the best of terms with the building owners). One of these items is the phone system, an Avaya IPOffice 500v2 and a collection of compatible handsets. Rather than reinventing the wheel I'd quite like to get this up and running. To do so I will need to gain access to the system and reset/reconfigure it. I can find little to no information in the Avaya support website to clue me in on how to do this. Do any Edugeekers own such a telephone system and can give me a clue as to how to reset it to factory settings? Additionally, what do I do about firmware upgrades and licensing? Is it attached to the hardware? or will I 'lose' everything when I reset it?

I look after our Avaya system which was installed for us by an Avaya business partner so I know a little bit about the system....

 

The IP Office 500 V2 system is administered using a PC package called Avaya IP Office Manager. The Avaya system should have a 'feature key dongle' on a card (smart media or SD card at the back of the unit). This will determine what features are enabled.

 

The Office Manager package is an offline editor and is used to build & configure the system before saving and activating across the LAN to the IP Office unit. The IP Office Manager package should be password protected, with an Administrator account, I think the default id & password is Administrator/Administrator but that should have been changed when the box was installed

 

I have no idea how you would find out what the password is if it has been changed.
