Windows Update Problem - SP1 Windows 7

Hello,

 

Problem when trying to get Windows Update to install SP1 on a Windows 7 Machine. I am getting Error Code 80072F78 but the Windows helper isn't giving me a solution. It just downloads, tries to install and then says "Some updates were not installed". All the other updates have worked OK, it's just the SP1 for Windows 7 update.

Have you tried downloading the update and installing it manually?

Download Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Have a go at running sfc /scannow from a admin command prompt - it can fix random errors with system files (which could prevent a successful update to SP1).
