garethEds Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Stupid question but I think someone is messing with my icloud account - can you tell me is it possible to read texts online if imessage is turned off? Someone said something to me today that kind of indicated they had read a text. Yet they had not seen my phone. Gareth
SYNACK Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I don't think sms can traverse message as it is or at least was an unsupported message type. Had to look it up when a Principal wanted them synced to an iPad, there are tools that will do it but generally require a jailbreak. You could also look at your cell provider as some offer online text reports that may include content or a service to redirect. The other possibility is malware if jailbreaked or the other party is the gov't or Apple.
garethEds Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 It was a pupil and my phone is not jailbroken nor has left my sight all day. GJE
SovietRussia Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I dont think you can view the messages from a web browser or iCloud for that matter Just a suggestion, could the pupil have seen what the person sending you the text had written?
garethEds Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 No. Been in my pocket. Could have been a coincidence Could they read text through my orange mobile online account? Gareth

Gareth I know its been in your pocket, but has the pupil read what the SENDER sent you (If the pupil was with the sender at the time?) Or; If you were the sender, has the pupil read the text on the RECIEVER phone?
garethEds Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Hmmm I doubt it. Never mind. It was nothing - just made me think. Thanks all Gareth
