Hi all!

I wondered if anyone knew the best way to do the following in Excel. We have a spreadsheet that is generated through the free Papercut software, showing who prints what and when.

Is there an easy way to get Excel to look at the Users column, and show which usernames appear most frequently please?

Thanks in advance

I would look at a a pivot table - I use one to find those staff who bypass the "no more than 5 copies off the printer then photocopy" rule by pressing print multiple times (pausing between them to get past that rule!)

Highlight your data, click "Insert Pivot Table", add username as your column and data field (it should automatically become a 'Count' field), then sort descending

clareq, LosOjos - many thanks! Pivot tables were just what I was after. I've got the data just how I wanted it - how hadn't I seen these before?!

Thanks again!
