Simcfc73 Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) Hi, Does anyone know of an MDM that works on the android platform as good as the IOS? I have looked at Googles own, lightspeed and Meraki and they all look like they do the same things... remote wipe, add a passcode and thats about it... at least the Meraki one allows remote app installs but I can't see where you can restrict the install. I know I am from an M$ background so am a control freak but these may be going to the LSU kids who get distracted easily. Edited May 22, 2013 by Simcfc73
Marshall_IT Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) Lightspeed is supposed to be getting android support soon if not already... @Eappariello Edited May 22, 2013 by Marshall_IT
Simcfc73 Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 Already seen Lightspeed MDM, as basic as Googles own just now.
jmak Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 What do you want the devices to do? If you're looking for classroom devices, it might be worth considering Learnpad. Not an MDM, but does install a profile and allows remote install of apps as well as the other things it can do.
Simcfc73 Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 TBH I just want it so they cant install apps and mess with the settings.
MattMurray Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 We use Mobile Iron which allows a certain amount of control over Android, might be worth taking a look at.
