Google Drive to host student resources?

Have any of you attempted this? We are thinking of hosting student resources there, the students already have a google account for email, we get loads of free storage etc seems a logical step.

 

we dont want or need anything complex as our syllabus is simple and students all learn and study a the same/similar.

 

thoughts?

Great, but if i remember correctly, somehow they got onto some form of chat via google accounts and there was inappropriate discussions going on.

in the control panel you can disable that for the entire site or just students.

Assuming that your LA hasn't provided you with a learning platform or similar then you get online storage space with J2e which is more of a child friendly environment, I'd have thought.
