authentication with out certificate in window server 2003 ???????????????

hi

i have configured the radius server using window server 2003 using the manual attached with the post. but it give a bit error during log in probably of certificates.

can we configure it without certificates ?

What Type of authentication are you using?

 

But certificates for at least the server are generally needed, other wise the clients would not know that the server is who it says it is. Meaning you could be sending your username/pass to a fake server (man-in the middle)

 

You can create your own certificate if you install the Certificate Authority role & also push out that Certificate via Group policy so clients will trust it.
