Hello everyone. I am new to the form, well sort of. I have been lurking and reading. But now it is time to ask a question. Have any of you used PrinterOn Education? If so, what has your experience been with both the software and the company. They say it will work along side of Papercut. It also seems to be a perfect solution to mobile printing, almost too perfect....

 

I am working with them to temporarily deploy their system on our network. The fact that they are willing to perform a full deployment for us to test makes me feel better. However, it would still be nice to know what others think of the system.

I will have a look and see if the education version is different to the other options, do you have any details on how it works along side papercut? In my experience you either have printeron and use that to print and release jobs or use something like papercut. If you are looking at mobil solutions also check out EFI / Drivve / EveryonePrint

What I gathered from them, the PrinterOn server will handle authentication and so on. Then dump the job into the Papercut print queues with pertinent information. Papercut then picks it up like any other job.

 

I actually never knew about EveryonePrint. I will have to look at that further.

How did your demo setup go? They are coming by today to setup a demo here, but we're currently using PaperCut NG and have had no problems.
