Ive put an exchange 2007 server on tour network thinking it would be easy to upgrade. At the mo, ive still got the old exchange 2003 server there providing the emails, but just a couple of things are bugging me about the new server.

1. The transport service will not stay started... is this because the other server is still the primary mail server? if so how do i change it over?

2. Ive copied over a test mail box form the current email server... when i view owa for that user, i have to put in https://.... is that normail and how do i get internet explorer to accept the certificate?

Am still having problems with this, found out why the transport service wasnt working.. but cant send email to anyone. It says "There is currently no route to the mailbox database".

Can anyone help on this issue?

Thanks

remove the smtp component in add remove programs. It is foun din application server, IIS and remove it from there... and then i think youll be upto the same point as me... trying to get mail to send. Ive got my old email server still online, cant see that being the problem.

Have you made sure that you have an smtp connector setup on the exchange 2003 server. If not Exchange 2007 will try to take over outbound email transport and effectively cut off the domain from the outside.

Ive still got this problem:

"Ive copied over a test mail box form the current email server... when i view owa for that user, i have to put in https://.... is that normail and how do i get internet explorer to accept the certificate?"

I get the "the security cerfiticate presented by this website was not issued by a trust certificate authority"

Does anyone know how to overcome this?

Thanks
